![]() | root, root, root for the home teamPosted on Saturday, January 03, 2009 @ 14:42:04 EST in News |
In recent sports news, Grapevine Faith played Gainesville State School in football, but the fans from Faith rooted for the other team. The formed a line for the other team to run through at the beginning of the game, the made a sign for them to bust through, and cheered for them throughout the game. Was this some kind of reverse logic to the Yale "We Suck" prank? Nope. This was a good deed, since Gainesville is a correctional institution, and even those players deserve to have some cheering.
Why does something so right, seem so upside down?

![]() | Streaming shoutcast .pls streams on the iphone with FstreamPosted on Saturday, December 06, 2008 @ 21:43:36 EST in News |
So I'm playing with my new iphone, and I'm fascinated by all the possibilities. I'll be sure to tell you about productivity enhancers later. For now, I want to share a little app I found called Fstream (direct link to app store download page here). There are other music apps that cost money to use, like simplify media and tuner internet radio too, but I was looking for a free solution, and this is it. That's the perfect solution i was looking for. Thanks Fstream!

Forget the wheel chair. Let's move into cyborg territory with a system that can act as an exoskeleton and help you walk!

Awesome stuff. I can't even begin to imagine the positive effect this will have on people.

Isaac Hayes and Bernie Mac die 1 day apart and they're working on the same movie, Soul Men. That's pretty whacky, right? I never really cared for Bernie Mac...at all, but that's farely nuts, I think. Seems to be an occuring theme for movie stars to die while in production. New form of marketing?

Soon, you'll be able to register any top level domain (TLD) you like. A TLD is like the .net, .com., .org, .gov, etc of websites. This will be chaos on a stick. So many peope are going to be "cybersquatting" which means I would go and register .pepsi before Pepsi would, and if they wanted it, they could buy it from me, if I was willing and liked their offer.
This might at first be a new and inovative thing, but this is not an expansion of our current system if this turns out how I think it will. No one will be registering .com sites anymore. So what we'll really see is a change of our existing orderly and common knowledge system. The ctrl+enter keyboard shortcut will be used less and less when going to websites. Everyone is just going to be cutting off the .net and .com and all that, so we're basically eliminating the TLD system and it will be a free-for-all.
granted, I'm already thinking about registering .joshhall, because I think i could get ahead of the others out there...i dunno. it's approved. It's happening. We'll see if it'll will be the epic fail i'm expecting it to be.

![]() | Legend of Six - Temporarily disabledPosted on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 @ 15:50:32 EDT in News |
A few people have been coming here to find out what's up with legendofsix.com. It was disabled over the weekend due to "excessive CPU usage." The host is refusing to enable the server for me to move the domain or so i can get the latest snapshot of the database. It seems this won't be a quick fix, but I promise to get it up as soon as I can. Thank you for your patience.

![]() | Another band offering music for freePosted on Monday, May 05, 2008 @ 23:42:23 EDT in News |
NIN (Nine Inch Nails) have released their latest album under the Creative Commons license, which means that anyone can download it and use it how ever they like for free as long as the credit the original author. Trent Reznor, a western Pa native, is a smart dude. I can't wait to see them live at lollapalooza. Radiohead, the first big band to release an album completely free and online, will also be headline that show.
you can get the tracks here: http://dl.nin.com/theslip/signup

I don't care what it takes. I will not miss rage against the machine. I almost had tickets when they were here with beastie boys and wu tang clan, but they canceled the tour because the beastie's drummer broke his arm or something. I don't buy that excuse, but it happened none the less. I digress. http://www.lollapalooza.com Rage, radiohead, mgmt, rogue wave, girl talk, raconteurs, and about a bajillion others. I may have made a rash decision, but i bought 4 tickets already. The other 3 ticket owners are TBD. A few in mind, none definite though. Want to go?
