Forget the wheel chair. Let's move into cyborg territory with a system that can act as an exoskeleton and help you walk!

Awesome stuff. I can't even begin to imagine the positive effect this will have on people.

I was talking to deirdre today on AIM, even though she's just in my basement, and 2 sentences I wrote were the same length. I love when that happens.
[12:05] S i x f 0 0 t 4: no loud noises in the morning
[12:05] S i x f 0 0 t 4: and yes, 12:05 is still morning
reminds me of an xkcd comic strip: http://www.xkcd.com/276/

I really should stop eating right before I go to bed. I think I have crazy dreams as a result. Last night had a few different dreams, but the scariest one was when a doctor told me I had thyroid cancer. He said that he wanted to start radiation treatment right away. I said I wanted a second opinion. Later on I busted out into tears when I told my family what the doctor said. They were all in shock. It was very imprinting though, I woke up still confused if I had actually been told by a doctor if I had thyroid cancer.

Stupid is as a stupid does
|
|
What’s something really, really stupid you’ve done that could easily have resulted in your own death?
- There was this incident with an M80 one windy night where Travis held it behind his head ready to launch, i put my hands around it to block the wind, and Dallas lit it...
What makes you feel stupid?
- When I stumble over my words or spelling of those words.
What’s something that’s stupid in a very smart way?
- The toilet. I'm always amazed out how simple it is. It dumbs it all down to 1 little lever. Sometimes, you don't even have to do anything at all if it has one of those lazer sensors.
What’s an example of a stupid idea working out in a way that solved a problem?
- There's a lot of innovative ideas that are born from stupidity or boredom...probably just better off youtubing "stupid idea". That'd be far more entertaining.
There is apparently a brand of packaged popcorn called Smartfood. What might be found in the package labeled Stupidfood?
- food for zoo animals? If you can mess that up and the zoo animals can't, you're pretty stupid.

Does the amount of food in your refrigerator matter in how much it runs? Does an empty fridge use less energy because there's nothing in it to cool? I guess you can take that further and say does the contents of the fridge make a difference. Does a fridge full of liquids require more energy than a fridge full of fruit? I guess it all comes down to how much energy does it take to cool air...If I were to make a prediction, i would say a vacuous space would take more energy because a solid or liquid would act as an insulator...I googled, but couldn't find anything...

The to 10 craziest or weirdest medical conditions
|
|
I have no idea why the listed the top one first, but it's still a pretty crazy list. Some of these conditions are borderline super-powers if you ask me. I wonder where we could be if we could extract these peoples' genes... http://www.oddee.com/item_96473.aspx

here's something nice and friendly
|
|
Public enemy or one of those early 90s gangster rap groups should have done a song called 'kuf'd from behind' and talked about cops and sexual assault. I don't know if the FCC would catch on to the pun of 'kuf'd' or not. I thought about this on my run today. Welcome to the inner workings of my brain; scary, isn't it?

so Friday5.org puts out 5 questions every friday for bloggers to answer, so I think i'll play along.
What did you last replace batteries for?
- I try to use rechargable batteries where i can, but I've used a few AA in my wireless keyboard and mouse from time to time.
What have you thrown away that you probably could have had repaired?
- My sister gave me her old eliptical machine that needed some sort of belt replaced, but I was too lazy to fix it.
Among items in your line of sight right now, what should probably be put in the trash?
- I'm at my desk at work, I have some spare printouts from meetings that i won't use again...
When did you last use disposable cutlery while dining in your house?
- I don't even know what that is...plastic knives??
Whose actions cause you to waste time you otherwise wouldn’t waste?
- Well, Erik filled the dishwasher with hand soap earlier this week, and i found out the hard way and had to clean that up. I'm also driving to philly and back to see Kallie and Tim, so that would be 10 hours of driving i normally wouldn't do.
