Personal Update

mundane monday

6 April, 2004 (01:24) | Personal Update

so i went home to eat with the family today.  good times, J’aime was in, chris’ dad, Rabe was in, keren and deirdre had softball, but they came later.  I havent been home for a while, and it was good to see everyone again.  Keren had 2 of my shirts, that i completely forgot about, and i am so stoked to have back in my possession.  they are as tight as can be, but when has that ever stopped me?  i just got to get rid of my man boobs.  but still, i felt like i got free shirts tonight.  plus, i jacked a car til thursday.  🙂

so i had to get home to get my guitar for cornerstone this week.  kinda nervous, havent played in a while.  and i dont know the songs.  we will see how it goes.

room is still a disaster.  this week i have to clean it.

i had other crap i wanted to put up here, but i cant think right now.  dragon players just submitted 3 bugs to me, that are pretty big, so i gotta work those out.

Chris reminded me it was Kurt Cobain’s death anniversary today.  Anyone remember that?  i didnt think so.  All you right handers would never even think of a lefty.  Infact, i bet you all had him killed.  or maybe it was the guitar manufacturer mafia, they thought they would have to actually produce left handed guitars, and have to sell them at reasonable rates if he became too successful.  it’s all a giant conspiracy i tell ya.  that, or it was courtney love. [shudder]

I missed this last week.  Apparently Bush gave some speech, and a kid started falling asleep in the background.  you have to have be able to watch real media files to see these.  David Letterman got flak from CNN for showing it.  With out further delay, here is Bush stimulating the minds of our youth.

“I was walking down the street with my friend and he said “I hear music.” As though there’s any other way to take it in. You’re not special. That’s how I receive it too…I tried to taste it, but it did not work…”

Personal Update

did you know the bee-gee song “staying alive” was first “saturday night”?

4 April, 2004 (01:03) | Personal Update

So i had a pretty big day today.  basketball til noon, ate lunch with 2 friends, watched some 3 on 3 tournament action, saw the soulpatch show, saw phantom planet play on bigelow, i tried calling you adrienne.  thought you might enjoy that, i just wanted to let you know that.  so then out to eat with more friends, then see some acapella groups sing, then “guys night” at a cornerstoner’s house til midnight.  good day.  gotta work in the morning though.  bleh.

looks like me, bob, and maybe fuji are going to go see andy in delaware the weekend of the 24th.  that should be wild.

still looking for another roomate for emily and myself.

serah still doesnt answer my AIM messages.

today, the government gets to steal an hour of sleep from me.  they should be so proud.  they get my money this week from taxes, and now they are getting my time.  bitter?  me??  no way.

Deirdre has a volleyball tourney down in baltimore this coming weekend, and it looks like everyone is going to try to meet down there or something, Kathy is going to Philly, (Philthy) so i have nothing to do down there, and i have to work anyway, so i am just going to chill up here.  maybe play some guitar, seeing how much i need to practice after tuesday.  Well, nothing really else noteworthy, didnt really do anything else but hang out on campus today.  so, i will leave you with everything you want to know about breakfast cereals.

Personal Update

If i were in australia, would my head spin the other way?

1 April, 2004 (02:23) | Personal Update

If i were in australia, would my head spin the other way?before i get too far…No. I did not drink. Did you really think i would?? I had a really great time though. Always fun with adrienne. I have to say though, ALL aspects of the past 24 hours have been complete new ground for me. ALL.

Mark Sutter, the guitarist for the band at cornerstone is getting married, and is going to stop going to cornerstone, atleast not as much. So, i offered my services, and will make a few appearences in the band. Looking forward to that.

I had a really great day over all. Despite getting to the Greensburg transit station, right as my bus was leaving. So i chilled around greensburg for an extra 2 hours. Which was really quite the benefit. for one, i stopped in professional guitars, and had a really decent convo with a lefty there. walked away with a fender catalog too. That place rocks.

and 2, i stopped in a gas station to get something to snack on, and when i openned the doors, i heard angels singing, i made my way around the mint/gum section, and low and behold…my certs. awww yeah. i had a dream about them a few weeks ago. I was walking under the belle vernon bridge, and there was this small candy/newspaper stand there, and i asked the guy if he carried my mints, and he said that he didnt have them there, but that he owned another small shop and had them there. He took my email address and said he would send me a box. what a dream. for those of you who don’t know what the crap i am talking about, i am talking about these. They are so perfect, the mints, and the packaging. really, the packaging is where my obsession lies. it is just so convienient, and they don’t rattle in your pocket, and you dont have a bulge in your pocket. Sheer engineering genius. i would like to shake the hand of thet person who thought of this design. Well, these days, the packaging is darn near impossible to come by, i dunno if it didnt sell well or what, but anytime i find them, i buy them. infact, today, i bought 2.

so this saturday is guys night with the cornerstone crew. should be interesting. soulpatch is also playing a show during the day at the church. and basketball in the AM. i really need to start working out. i bought a jump rope when i moved up here, and i havent used it yet. I truly believe that the jump rope is the single best exercise one can do, for anything they want to achieve. second, is boxing. but what do i know right?

well, i am in a writing frenzy tonight, and i want to get it all out of my head and onto paper (read microsoft word).   so i will leave you with a bit of wisdom… Harvard’s finest at work on fruit fly fight club
