off the boot and back to 90% normal. Still can feel the ankle being a little weak, but i like to push it. Probably try and run a little later in the week. Not working out for the past 2 months is not good!

Ticket bought for italy with the family. I’m flying over wed may 16th and leaving saturday the 26th. during that time, i plan on taking a trip to paris and london as well since it’ll be so cheap to do so and i won’t want to spend so much time in italy. I’m excited!

took a road trip with friends to philly this weekend to a beer fest. Not really my scene, but we ended up having a really great time. Lots of friendship bonding and such. I need to get a camera. I wanted to wait until right before italy, but as soon as i pay off money that i owe to the estate and to j’aime for the italy ticket, i’ll get one as soon as i see the need and a good deal.

Rachel met my mother and Deirdre last wednesday when we went back home to see Deirdre as Mame in the musical Mame. So much talent there. It was weird seeing Rachel hug my mother though……..heh. Hi mom

One of the new housemates, craig, moved in yesterday. Pretty cool dude. He just proposed to his girlfriend of 5 years over the weekend too. Both are from Morgantown, transplanted to chicago, and now moving back. Craig will stick around til at least sometime april as they both find new living quarters, and I’m glad to have him/them. The other dude, Alex, has an architecture internship from march 17th-june 17th, and he’ll live across the hall from me. ’bout time that room got some good use.

I’m just sitting here thinking how fast money goes down the drain. since i’m not taking classes this semester, my school loans picked up payments, then i have the truck registration and inspection coming up, estate money i owe, tickets to italy, doctor bills from the ankle, blah blah blah. Why am i always feeling like i live paycheck to paycheck? I shouldnt have that.

woohoo!! no work thursday, friday or monday! took some time off to spend with the family. thursday i’ll go pick up keren from Bethany, then go back home for Deirdre’s play, then friday go apartment shopping with becky, maybe go to deirdre’s play again friday, or go over to adam’s to jam, or just stay home and read. saturday will be time to hang out with the sisters. Serah is bringing mike in, and she wants to bring him in to the city, so maybe i will be involved in that, since i live here and all. maybe kick out another recording this weekend. hopefully get some studying done to take my test for my only class this semester. i know this weekend is going to fly, especially since my sisters are going to be home, but i am going to try to get everything done that i need to get done. and the weather doesnt look like she wants to play fair.

i started paying back my school loans since i am only taking one class this semester. one payment was due march 1st, and i sent it out monday….if i get some kind of late fee or something, prepare for a rant on 2 things. 1, effing school system and loans. 2, february and it’s 28 days in a month crap.

looks like jordan owen is interested in moving in with me once emily moves out. em is going to paris for the summer, so i gotta get someone else in here. she also said she doesnt want to be here in the fall either. it sucks, i tried to make everything nice and easy for her. She’s a free person though, and if living some where else is what she wants, i have no role in that. i just hope i am not a sucky roomate.

back to vacation days, i got 2 weeks solid off in july/august to go to yankanuck and stuff, and i still got 2 more weeks to spend somewhere. probably use a few of those around the holidays, but i got enough time to take a good road trip somewhere. i am excited!

well, back at work after a short weekend. This is the first weekend in a while that i haven’t had to do anything. No weekend shift and I didnt go home to see my sisters or do anything at the estate. It was nice. I deep cleaned the apartment on saturday and went over to a friend from work’s house for a Texas hold em tournament. First time gambler. I was only out $5, bough in the first time, lasted 5 rounds and didnt buy back in. Becky was out $10, and Kevin ended up taken the 1st place and getting 60 some bucks. Texas hold em is a bnuch of fun, i am thinking about getting some chips just to play. So that was saturday, and sunday i went out to the mall sunday. I stopped in the pet store to check out the fish, and they had a weimaraner pup there. My family has been talking about getting one after the poosh moves on. He was a cute thing, and then i noticed his birthday, same as mine. I would love to have a huge place and enough money for a dog like that. What i did end up buying was a 4 piece sectional at Kaufmann’s furniture on clearance for $750 though. i have to go get it today, i am excited. I also got a Beckett price guide to see what my dad’s baseball cards are worth. he’s got a few $500 cards, some $300 cards, and lots of $100-$150 cards. Quite a few Mickey Mantles, Willie Mays, Ted Williams, Hank Aaron, Bill Mazeroski, etc. Good to look at. his 1 binder is worth well over 3x my 5 binders. Watched the movie Before Sunset yesterday. Can you say Waking Life 2? I thought it was screaming chick flick at first, but then i saw ethan hawke and the same girl he was with in waking life were in it. Then i heard the dialogue, and i was like, whoa, this has Richard Linklater written all over it. Sure enough, popped over to www.imdb.com and it was him. You can’t watch a movie like that and turn off your mind afterwards. I had a smile on my face in wonderment for the next hour. Great movie.

So as far as things go with the estate, it’s a mess. I took some pictures of it as well as some of the cannon. I should warn you that the house is in TERRIBLE condition, the house used to be so cool when it was built in 1885, there is a pic from then in the link. and the cannon is from world war II. There are a bunch of cool pics of it and the park at my grandma’s. I want to scan them all.

So i got work that is going pretty well, school with 1 class meeting 3 more times between now and april, estate stuff that i’m letting J’aime stress herself out over but shouldn’t, gotta find another roommate since emily is trying to go to paris, and on top of all that, i bought a coat hangar thing at target that fits over a door, and the door doesn’t shut with it on it! WHAT THE FRIGGIN CRAP! i tried it on different doors, and it’s too thick to allow the door to shut. What is that about??? Am i wrong in assuming that doors should still be able to close? I swear, sometimes, it’s just me. Nothing just works. There is always an ordeal.

one thing i didn’t do was record this weekend. So that brings me to 1 absolutely finished song, 1 pretty finished song, and 3 songs recorded without lyrics written. My new years resolution was a song a week, or atleast 2 songs a month, with a CD out by end of summer. Lyrics are what are holding me up now. I’ve been in the mood to write a novel or two recently too, but i gotta go with the songs first i think. If i don’t do it, no one else will.
