eat me.

so, thinking about Speciesism, and i think it’s very easily self-defeated. I usually don’t take such a strong position right away on issues, but i’m not seeing any logic behind it.

they complain that humans shouldn’t kill/eat/abuse animals because it’s being predujice based on species.

so why not stop lions from killing gazelles? Why is it ok for animals to eat other animals?

I certainly don’t think that lions will learn by our example. It’s nature. And to think that we, as a species, should not eat other animals because we have the mind to think that it is wrong, is speciesism itself.

i’ll wait till humans develop the necessary means to digest vegetation better before i even remotely consider not eating meat.

if we weren’t supposed to eat meat, why does meat taste so good?

We don’t have a digestive system designed for vegetables? Then explain me this mister Wizard, why is one of the primary external causes (meaning no genetic predisposition) of colorectal cancer (the number four cancer in the world contracted by men and women, number two killer in the world) animal fats?

I don’t know of any vegetable fats which lead to colorectal cancer or artery sclerosis. Then again my dear Runering you’ll be long dead from cirrhosis of the liver before your carnivorous ways catches up to you.

Warmest Regards,
Zotz

You’re right. I doubt the lion will learn from our example. Learning how to drive a truck, drive to the grocery store, visiting the meat department and picking his selection.

Maybe instead you should start following the lions lead. Go out and hunt your own meat with your bare hands. No guns, no bows, just the natural you. Wait! You’d be a vegetarian then because I doubt you could naturally kill most animals, maybe small kittens and puppies.

Gerbils, I bet gerbils would be an easy kill. Fire up the grill!

i was meaning that we are incapable of digesting cellulose and what not properly. we can however digest fats with bile acids. digestable and carcinogenic are not the same thing.

Clearly you lack a grave misunderstanding of the dangers of animal fat. Carcinogenic aside, there is a mountain of evidence to support that animal meat, animal fat, and related animal product consumption directly correlates to increase rates in cancer.

And cellulous is apart of the dietary fiber family and is part and parcel to good health which includes reducing the risk of cancer, heart disease and diabetes.

I’ll be glad to send you a page with several dozen links to some of the most brilliant minds, holding advance degrees from the most prestige universities, from all four corners of the global, who expound on the increase probability of cancer through the consumption of animal fats.

Of course they may not be able to hold a candle to a hard drinking college student who took a course in biology and drew some misguided conclusions.
