So i’m slowly making my way home today in traffic, and i see this sign that has a picture of two lanes coming together and splitting again, and the caption saying “Weave Area.” I don’t know if it’s the altered state of consciousness from lack of sleep, but i kept focusing on this phrase. Weave area. Then i started to notice the symetry in the words. each has 3 vowels and only 3 vowels. there are 3 A’s in the phrase and 3 E’s in the phrase, and only those 2 vowels appear. Since a W is basically the shape of two V’s, we can say there are 3 V-like structures in the phrase. and if we can assume that a W *is* just 2 V’s, then only 1 consonant appears in each word. and despite the second word being shorter, and being comprimised of the same number of vowels and less consonants, it contains 3x the syllables than the first word. Weave Area. I’m going to bed.

I put my belt on the “wrong” way yesterday. I usually feed it through counter-clockwise. I faintly remember something awkward about the act when i did it, but i didn’t realize what i had done until i went to the bathroom later in the day. I’m struck by this occurence. What changed to make me go against the habit that i’ve been doing for over 10 years? If i feed my belt counter-clockwise because i’m left handed, did something change to make my right hand dominant, if only for that brief moment? What a weird thing.

so, no cast yet. I went to the Dr’s thursday and since my foot was still swollen she couldn’t put a cast on me. I have an appt to go back in tomorrow for the cast. She says i’ll probably have it on for 4 weeks, then wear a boot for 2 while having to go through physical therapy. Definite suckage. I bailed on the colorado trip completely. Probably bailing on vegas too…but that might just be because it looks likely for me to go over to London for a week for work in March. More details to come on that I guess.

So jordan, my housemate, just bought a house. He plans to be out be end of february. nice heads up there…but what are ya gunna do, you know? he had mentioned wanting to move out to get a place with his sister once she graduated highschool, so i was thinking more along the lines of summer. Now i gotta find someone fast, and temporary until Deirdre can move in in the fall.

I know there were a few things i wanted to post about…but now all i can think about are not worth full paragraphs… Got permission from the female, her name is Rachel. She is beautiful, smart, driven, musically gifted, a christian, and most importantly, she doesn’t seem to mind bald men….going to see finger eleven in ohio on feb 2nd and again in pittsburgh on the 10th…keren leaves for itally on the 29th…crutches suck, hopping around is making my calf burn…I’ve been getting back into legend of the green dragon development…not sure what else…I swear there was more…oh well.

GAD! I’m broken. Andrew Bonnell emailed me friday and asked if i’d play basketball for his church league on saturday, and i was excited to accept. I haven’t played for so long, but i was making shots in warm up, i started, made a few points, some good plays, but i wasn’t “in the zone” yet. Not until the 3rd quarter did i start getting my rhythm back. At one point, i got a burst of energy, made a quick steal, went down for the dunk, but when i landed, i mess up somehow. To be honest, I don’t remember what exactly happened. I don’t know if i landed funny, hit the wall first (it was close to the out-of-bounds), landed but then tripped, i have no idea. All I know (now) is that there is a loose bone chip in my ankle, i have a splint on, and I’m going to see a specialist later this week who will probably put a caste on me. ugh. I have never been so disabled. I am going to have crutches for at least 6 weeks. Even colorado’s spill last year was fine compared to this. bright side – Dr. said probably no surgery needed, and I have a handicap accessible bathroom with a rail by the tub and a removable shower head, so that should make this easier, and i also get to park in the primo spot at work.

speaking of colorado though, i was planning on going out again march 10-18th. That’s on the rocks now. I won’t have time to go skiing in prep beforehand now, and my muscles are going to be weak, and that’s assuming i’m out of my caste by then. So i guess i’ll have to wait and see what the specialist says and see how the healing goes. effing blows. I also wanted to go to vegas over that same time frame, splitting time between the two, so i guess that’s kinda up in the air too. I posted 2 pics of my ankle in the gallery. I also wanted to start volunteering at the hill house in some manner, but i don’t know if i will like this. bah! I say bah!

glad i took the semester off from school. lost my Pitt ID though…so that sucks since i used it to ride the bus for free now and then, and i used it for penguins student rush…and i fear robert morris won’t give me an ID since i’m not registered this semester…we’ll see. I wish i could just find my pitt ID.

been spending time with a female as well…we’re getting to know eachother still, but i’m excited. She hasn’t signed the waiver yet, so i can’t say too much. 🙂
