Hall’s Rule of Social Order – #267

11 June, 2012 (12:00) | Hall's Rules of Social Order

There is a baseball metaphor for everything.

Name a topic and I bet there’s a common baseball related metaphor already.  If there’s not, I bet it’s not hard to come up with one that’s easy to understand.

Some examples:

Hard times – “Sometimes life throws you a curve ball”

Sex – “I just got to first base with my girlfriend”

Work – “I think I just hit a home run at work today”

Life outlook – “I think we’re in the home stretch”

Money / Luck – “We struck out at the casino tonight”
