so, Thursday was a great day, got the call back from mellon, played some frisbee, and saw fahrenheit 911.  1 bad thing happenned though; I forgot that it was J’aime’s birthday.  Deirdre and my mom had reminded me throughout the week, and i had even talked to her tuesday.  I just got caught up in myself thursday.  Friday i made i tried to make it up to her by offering volunteering with the painting and other stuff her and Dan are doing around their house.  We didnt do anything contructive but go to lowe’s, but i talked with jame for a while about all kinds of stuff.  it was good.  I dont talk to her enough.

philly didnt work out this weekend:(  all 3 of my sisters had a valid reason they couldnt go out to see serah, and once serah found out about it (surprisingly, she found out about it on this site…since when does serah come to my website?!??) she said she may have been busy anyway, and we wanted to surprise her.  oh well.  it all worked out.   saturday I was blessed with a passing inspection of the car.  Craziness.  so i officially have my first, legal, all mine, car.  this is the summer of cars.  serah is getting one too, and keren just got a relient.  we cleaned it saturday.  i see her taking too many joy rides with friends.

sunday at 7pm, i went to beaver valley mall to install new cash registers at old navy for IBM.  we got done at 2 am.  it was pretty cool to see how they work and such.  plus it is money in my pocket.  monday, i am doing the same thing at Gap down at the waterfront.  only that one starts at 10pm.  I have always wanted a job where i have access that no one else has access to.  like, i wanted to be one of the guys who rolled out the tarp over the baseball field at three rivers, or one of the guys that converted the stadium between a football and baseball stadium.  just to be down on the field, and walk the hallways that no one else gets to.  I passed out posters for boyscouts one game.  We got to walk around the halls, and go in a locker room.  I love knowing that i am seeing something rare.  Rare things these days are…well…rare:)  Tuesday, i am installing software at a highschool all day too.  this past week has been really good to me.

so i am busy working for a few days, trying to catch sleep somewhere in there.  maybe a meal or two.  I need the money.  I like the work.  i havent left a cool link for a while, here is a cool popup tester for geeks, and if you are looking for something a little less geeky, how about 1D tetris?

I got a call back from Mellon today!  they have an openning in a midnight and a twighlight shift.  I’ll probably take the midnight.  I will probably have a phone interview just to seal the deal with the midnight super, but that should go well.  Hopefully i will start the 26th of this month.  To tell you the truth, i was starting to get used to this free time thing.  no job, no school, no schedule.  all good things come to an end though…hopefully:)

pretty busy week last week.  had a good time down in D.C. over the weekend.  threw some pics up in the gallery.  still want to go down later on and tour the white house, see the changing of the guard, and some other random stuff.  but all in all a good time.  we left sunday morning at 7 am, when we got back there was nothing to do, and everyone went out, so i was going to go see fahrenheit 911, but i ended up locking my keys in the car at the theatre.  it turned out into this big mess all around.  completely frustrating, and sunday was one of my worst days in a very long time.

i got a job installing software for a highschool next tuesday.  it is just a 4-6 hour gig, but it pays well.  my head hunter said he could throw a few of those my way to keep me busy.  hopefully i’ll get enough of those to pay rent until i get something more permanent and secure.

i get the car inspected tomorrow at 1.  hopefully it will pass without repairs needed.  if it does need things fixed, i may just forget about it until i can afford it.

i found out today that they released the director’s cut of donnie darko in theatres in june.  i never heard any word about that.  funny how things that coincide.  like i just watched it a few weeks ago and started to get back into it.  and the same thing with hitchhiker’s guide.  either way, i hope they show it somewhere around here.  if you havent checked out the site, and you have some time to waste, check it out.  www.donniedarko.com

What do ronald reagon, george bush, and bill clinton have in common?  Lots of stuff, but they all have middle names that correspond to former president’s lastnames.  Ronald Wilson Reagon, George Washington Bush, William Jefferson Clinton.  What the crap is that about?  Who names their kids that without some hint that they will become president.  I haven’t done any research, there may be more, but i find this really disturbing.  If i were a conspiracist, i would say this was proof that the elections and voting are shams, and they already have every president planned for the next 60 years.

well, got Dan’s car transferred over to my name today.  Geico gave me a great deal on insurance.  I have been using the “i got some good news…i just saved a load of money by switching to Geico” gag all week.  It will never get old.  Never.  Afterward, i went theatre hopping solo.  Chronicles of Riddick…lame.  Terminal…lame at first, unbelievable how he picks up english over night, and a construction crew hires him out of the blue, but I will confess Hanks wasnt as bad as i thought he would be in the role.  still a crappy movie though.  White Girls, i had high expections from the wayans.  I dont think i have seen a movie from/with them that i didnt laugh at, until now.  Completely terrible.  They are the ugliest white chicks ever.  Terrible story line, not a single funny moment.  Dogdeball was good.  chuck norris, david hasselhoff, that hot blonde from Hey dude and the brady bunch, you cant go wrong.  Except for ben stiller, that movie was great.  Am i the only one tired of seeing his whiney characters?  i am so sick of him.  after that, got home to see the dragon game went from 450 players to almost 700.  thanks to GeniusTwin for pulling a few strings and getting it promoted.  Now i have to go code for the game.  Two other coders are starting to contribute now.  Really glad to have them around.  So now i got a car for no apparent reason, i just need to get one of the jobs!  i hate that this is being drawn out so long.

Got a call for a job down at PPG, i have to take some kind of a test. They say it is pretty hard, and a lot of people fail it. if you score too high or too low, you fail. It’s like an IQ test i think, where you have puzzles and stuff to figure out. we’ll see how that goes.

So adam gave me hitchhikers guide to the galaxy to read.  i have never read it, really looking for ward to it.  turns out, it is going to be a movie next year.

so i have 2 gmail accounts already, and i got an invitation for a 3rd.  I do not see what all the ruckus is about, so i gave it to my mom.  i really dont see what all the hype is about.  if it had pop3 support, or even imap, i’d be alright with it.  by that kinda defeats their intent.  But i guess that is what i get for being a geek, and having connections in the geek world.  I never even asked for one.  There are people out there begging for them, and i have 2 and gave one away. 🙂

going up to nate’s graduation party friday.  mom says i can have the van for weekend trips:)  so nathans this weekend, maybe DC the weekend after that, then out to see serah after that, we’ll see what else i can weasel out.

i got a ton of finger eleven stickers in the mail the other day.  i am on their street team, and they sent me well over 100 stickers.  so i gotta distribute them! i will probably pass them out to friends, and then throw the rest at people at rolling rock town fair.  heck, maybe they will see me and call me back stage…hey, a fan can dream right?  speaking of concerts, we didnt make it out to creation this year, but Deirdre alerted me to the webcast! woo hoo!

looks like the ducklings were saved after all.
