You’ve probably seen this technology before. I remember going to the Penguins games at the Civic Arena and they had a projection of a hockey rink with a puck on it. If you made a kicking motion towards it, it would move. It was pretty much a virtual air hockey table. I’m sure the novelty would wear off, but it’d be a cool atmosphere to play under.
